DIY Gardening: Results of my Transplanting Today

Phewie! I’m tired. I spent the entire afternoon out in the yard and the dirt (the boys loved it), but I got some transplanting and a bit more planting done. According to the Farmer’s Almanac, tomorrow is also a good day for transplanting, so I’m going to finish up then.

Pictured above is the start of my container garden. I have peas, beans, basil, oregano, rosemary, lettuce, green peppers, cucumbers (not pictured) and green onions started so far. The 19th and 20th are the last good planting days for the month and I intend to start some more green peppers, some zucchini, and several tomato plants then.

We are renting right now and I can’t have a full garden, so I’m looking forward to seeing how this container garden project works out for us!

Pictured below are the Hostas I transplanted. I’m hoping they look happier tomorrow…

And here at the Inpatiens I planted along a line of bushes in our front yard. I’m hoping they fill out nicely this summer and make a lovely edging.

How about you? Did you do any transplanting or planting today? Are you doing a garden this year?
