————————————————————————————————————————————–

I love to use Swagbucks’ search engine throughout the day to earn free gift cards. The last few weeks I have been sharing some easy ways to earn more Swagbucks, and I thought some of you who were new to the program may be nearing a cash-out point. Here are some instructions on how that works and also a list of some of the prizes available.

To Order A Prize:
  1. Choose the “redeem” button in the top left of the homepage and then the Swag Store button.
  2. You will see a list of Categories along the left hand side.  If you are interested in gift cards choose “Gift & Rewards Cards.” If you hover over it you can choose the denomination you want.  If you want something else, choose that category.
  3. Click on the link of the description of the prize you want to order.
  4. Read thru the description and decide if that is what you want.
  5. Click the “snag this” button under the price.
  6. Verify your information and hit submit order.
  7. You will receive an email confirming your order.  You MUST verify your order thru this email.
  8. Your order will be ready within two weeks and you will receive an email letting you know the gift card is in your account.
To Get Your Gift Card From Your Account:
  1. Hover over your name and SB number in the top right corner of the page.
  2. Click on my gift cards.
  3. Sign in.
  4. The new gift cards will be in the top under “my available gift cards.”
  5. There is a link for “how do I redeem this?”  Click on this for instructions.  If you do Amazon gift codes you can enter these in your Amazon account and they will stay there until you use them.
  6. Once you have redeemed it click “mark as used” so you remember which are used.

Here is a list of many of the current Gift Cards offered.  Note that some e-Gift Cards are to redeem in store, some online, and still some for both—so read the details closely before you order.  Also, if you order Amazon, be sure and choose Amazon.com if you are in the US and Amazon.ca if you are in Canada.

To claim a $10 CVS gift card, you must have at least 1249 Swag Bucks. I decided I’d find the easiest, least amount of time invested way to earn a Free $10 CVS e-gift card each month thru Swag Bucks and share it with you all.  I tried to be conservative in my searching win numbers–it is very likely you will earn more than I have included.  If you prefer the Amazon gift cards, you could earn almost three $5 Amazon gift cards by doing the same thing.

Check out the full Swag Buck series to learn more about each method described below.

A 30-Day Month Plan

  • 604 — Searching Daily

Most people easily win twice daily
I chose an average win of 9 twice a day (based on my recent wins) [468]
I included four Mega SB Fridays of one 9 SB win and one 25 SB win [136]

  • 30 — Tool Bar Installed and opened with browser each day (1/daily)
  • 30 — Daily Poll Taken (1/daily)
  • 30 — Clicking on Trusted Surveys (1/daily)
  • 60 — Clicking thru NOSO (No Obligation Special Offers) (2/daily)
  • 24 — A Periodic Swag Code found in tool bar or blue tool bar at bottom of SB homepage (6 SBs/weekly)
  • 180 — Watching Swag Bucks T.V. (20 episodes daily, approx. 45 min. total on the shortest ones [remember you can do this while you are on the computer doing other things, restore down two windows and multi-task]–the pets & nature are the shortest, you can earn up to 75 SBs daily on this) (6/daily)
  • 300 — Take surveys, perform tasks, do special offers, shop online or play games periodically to earn an average of 10/daily for the month.

On many of the things above you could earn even more.  We all know that $10 at CVS can bring home a lot of items.  And if you find yourself rolling your CVS extra bucks each week and only paying tax on your purchases, a $10 free CVS gift card from Swagbucks each month just may cover that making all of your purchases free.

What is your favorite way to earn Swag Bucks?  Have you gotten any of the CVS e-gift cards yet?  What is your favorite Swag Bucks prize?  If you haven’t signed up yet, sign up today and check out the Swagbucks tutorial posts and see how you, too, can get free prizes for things you do online!

————————————————————————————————————————————–

If you have been tracking with this weekly series, you probably have accumulated a good number of Swagbucks! You may be ready to start ordering some free gift cards. I have seen several reports from people who are confused on them being E-gift Cards instead of the plastic ones and also of cashiers being confused on the use of them, so I decided to write a post about them.  For those of you not doing Swag Bucks check out how you, too, can earn free CVS gift cards (or other great prizes and gift cards).  For those who want to earn more check out the Swagbucks 101 series to learn how to make the most you can.

These CVS E-Gift Cards are to be used in-store only.  You can even order them online at CVS.com if you would like to. They are powered by Cashstar.

The Cost:

  • $10 —  1,249 SB
  • $25 —  3,045 SB
  • $50 —  5,875 SB

To Order:

  • Choose the Redeem tag at the top of the Swag Bucks home page and click on Swag Store.
  • Choose Gift & Rewards Cards on the left–you can click on it or choose the dollar amount you want to redeem for.
  • Find the card you want and click on it.
  • Click “snag this.”
  • Confirm your shipping address (even though they won’t send it).
  • Check for the verification email and follow instructions.

To Print:

  • In about 10 to 14 days it will post to your account.
  • Scroll over the number of your Swagbucks in the top right corner of the home page and choose “my gift cards.”
  • The gift card info will show at the top.
  • Copy the URL and paste into a new window.
  • Enter the Challenge # when prompted.
  • Print the full page that comes up. I often print two–and write duplicate on the extra and keep just in case I loose the first or it becomes too beat up to scan right.  I print mine in black and white and fast draft to save ink.
  • Mark it as used in your account.

To Use:

  • When you are ready to pay give it to the cashier.
  • They will choose “gift card” on their screen and scan the bar code.  It will deduct the amount just like on a regular gift card.
  • There are instructions at the bottom if the cashier doesn’t know how to use it.
  • Be sure and get it back–I have read of cashiers wanting to keep it like a coupon.
  • When I first started using them, or when I run into a new cashier, I simply say “this is an e-gift card.  There are instructions at the bottom on how to scan it if you are not familiar with them.” I have never had any problem.  Sometimes I’ll mention they can be purchased online at CVS.com if they look like they think it is not a real thing.

I use them all the time and have for a few years now, even before Swag Bucks offered them.  Once in a while CVS will have a special where you can order $25 and get $5 free and I always take advantage of those when I see them and use them for my  mom’s prescriptions.

You can also use your SwagBucks for many other gift cards or prizes.

————————————————————————————————————————————–

There are several ways to earn Swagbucks that are super easy, but are not a sure thing.  But they can increase your number of SB’s significantly.

    1. Instant Winner
      1. Each hour Swag Bucks announces an instant winner on the home page near the bottom.  If your Swag Bucks user name is listed you will win 1000 SB’s.  This is not a sure thing because even if your name is listed you have to be able to see it that hour to win.
    2. You’ve Got Mail
      1. There is a Swag Bucks mail box at the top right of the home page beside the Facebook connect button. If you have mail it will have a little red number beside it.  These messages usually contain SB earning opportunities–some will be free offers or videos that are super easy and quick to do and sometimes there are Swag Codes listed.
      2. Not a sure thing that there will be something you want to participate in, but the SB’s are a sure thing if you do participate.
    3. Promotion Banners

Search & Win

    1. Swag Bucks offers dozens of banners for you to use on your website, blog or social networking profile (like the one to the right, above and at the bottom of the page).
    2. The banners contain your referral link (the ones here contain mine) and you will receive matching SB’s for the first 1000 SB’s earned by any new members who sign up under you.
    3. There is also a referral link you can use for inviting friends.
    4. The reason I say this is not guaranteed is that often referrals sign up and then do not participate.  If they do searches you are guaranteed by Swag Bucks a match of their first 1000 SBs.
    5. Find these under the Promote button at the top of the page.
  1. Social Networking
    1. When you win a SB there is an option to share it immediately on your social networking sites as a post saying you just won on Swag Bucks.  Any referrals who sign up thru the link will be under you and you will earn the first 1000 SBs from their searches just like they do.
    2. The reason I say this is not guaranteed is that often referrals sign up and then do not participate.  If they do searches you are guaranteed by Swag Bucks a match of their first 1000 SBs.
    3. You can even connect your SB account to your Social Networking account so your activity is automatically shared.
    4. Find these under the Promote button at the top of the page.
  2. Tool Bar Swag Codes
    1. At times there are Swag Codes listed in the tool bar.  If you have it down loaded you may find one there.
  3. Facebook/Blog/Twitter
    1. I have read that once in a while they choose comments on their FB page, blog or Tweets and award SB’s.
  4. Write Daily Polls
    1. You can submit daily polls and if yours is chosen to be used you will win 100 SBs.
    2. See details here:  Swagbucks Blog
  5. Swago
    1. From their site:  “It’s the Swag Bucks version of Bingo! When you redeem items from select categories on Swagbucks.com, you’ll automatically receive a Swago game piece. Connect any 5 pieces to win 1,000 Swag Bucks! Look for the Swago icon on the prize description page to know if that item qualifies you for a game piece.”

  3. Purchase the Daily Deal
    1. The link is in the left hand side list on the homepage.
    2. “Find incredible, limited-time deals from local and national retailers. Earn with every purchase!”
    3. These appear to be the most popular daily deal services, including Groupon.
    4. There are currently 31 to choose from.

Today Cheryl is going to share about earning Swagbucks that are delayed in posting.

————————————————————————————————————————————–

Today I will share a few ways to earn Swagbucks that have “delayed gratification” in that you must wait for your Swagbucks to be posted.  I have not personally done any of these so I am not familiar with how long it takes to get your account credited, but if you want more information, the fans on the Swag Bucks Facebook page are great at answering questions and giving tips.

In my experience Searching is the foundation of building your Swagbucks total.  You can win up to four times a day, though my experience has been an average of two without really trying.  And a reminder that Fridays are Mega bucks day where you can earn big just for searching–50 SBs seems to be common. I earned 34 on a search yesterday.  Oh, and by the way, many Simply CVS readers have reported winning for searching “Simply CVS” when they want to check out the site–worth a try :-).  You can find some tips for searching in the first post of the Swag Bucks 101 series.

Earning Swagbucks that are Delayed

    1. Do Special Offers
      1. Click on the special offers tab in the left hand side of the home page.
      2. There are six categories to choose from.
        1. There are categories within each category.
        2. Examples are taking surveys, signing up for free offers, ordering a magazine.
      3. Many of the offers are free to perform.

        1. Some, tho free, may require credit card information.
      1. There are also some listed halfway down the home page in a scrolling bar (see illustration).
      2. You must allow cookies.
      3. Swag Bucks are awarded within several hours to several days of proper completion of task.
      4. Read the info and tips found in the link at the top of the special offers’ page.
    1. Print Coupons
      1. Printable coupons available to print.
      2. Click on coupons banner on left hand side of home page.
      3. Swag Bucks awarded only for coupons redeemed.
      4. Takes 8 to 12 weeks to receive Swag Bucks.
    1. Perform Tasks
    1. Click on the Tasks link on left hand side of home page.
    2. There will be a list of several tasks described with the number of Swag Bucks reward for completion of each.
      1. Right now it is showing rewarding from 6 to 100 swagbucks per task.
    3. You perform the task described correctly and then receive your Swagbucks.
    4. I am not sure how soon the bucks are rewarded as it doesn’t say and I have never done any.
    5. The longer the task takes the more Swag Bucks you will receive.
    6. I believe, if I remember correctly what I have read, these can be time consuming.  But if you have the time and need the income they are a great option.
If you have never signed up with Swagbucks now is a great time to do so: just click on the banner below and sign up today!

It’s Mega Swagbucks Friday: How to Earn Through Games and More!

Today is Mega Swagbucks Friday!

Wondering what that means? Keep reading...

My friend, Cheryl, who blogs over at Simply CVS wrote a simple description of the Swagbucks program which I posted a couple weeks ago.

Today Cheryl is going to share how to earn more Swagbucks through playing to earn (games & more)!

Did you miss the other posts in the series?

Note: I’ve been following Cheryl’s tips and I’ve seen my Swagbucks total triple! Woot!
————————————————————————————————————————————–

There are dozens of ways to earn Swagbucks apart from the Swagbucks search engine.  As we continue our quest for more Swagbucks, and thus more prizes–or CVS Gift Cards as I would choose–we come to see that since “all work and no play” makes for a “dull” Swagernaut (“one who earns Swag Bucks) the SB team has put together some fun ways to earn for those who enjoy games.

    1. Swag Codes

    1. These are given out at different times during the day (usually late afternoon or evening) and can be found in the SB toolbars, widgets, blog, Twitter or on Facebook.
    2. They are presented in different formats.
    3. Sometimes it will just say “enter this code for 6 Swag Bucks.”
    4. Sometimes there is a one letter or number for the code in several different places and players must go on a hunt for them.
    5. Sometimes they are hidden in a blog post or even in the Swagstore descriptions of prizes (when hidden there are usually hints letting you know where to look, but there can be one just tucked in a blog post).
    6. An Example from a recent blog post that illustrates how you need to be willing to “play the game”:  “P.S. – The title of this blog post, with no spaces, is a code worth 6SB until 4pm PDT.  All of the letter are lower case except one, but which one?  Good luck!”
    7. They look unusual. Example: SwagcOdEsearnYoUmoresWagpriZes2.
    8. Enter the code in the box on the homepage.
    9. Swag Codes are case sensitive–enter it just like it is given.
    10. If there is a Swag Code there will be a lot of talk on their Facebook page about it–that is a good way to keep an eye out for when there is one.
    11. Codes are usually up for a short time but sometimes they are up for a full day.
    12. NEVER share a Swagcode — you can loose your account as it is against their terms of service.  But you may share that there is an active one and where to find the details.                                 .
  1. Swag Buck Member Teams
    1. Periodically SB will have a friendly competition for their members.  You can join one of two teams and play by the rules for the duration and the winning team members earn extra SBs.  Currently there is what they are calling Basket Brawl  Here are the contest rules to give you an idea of how they work:
    • Competition begins Tuesday 5/31/11 at 6:00am (Pacific Time).  Active participants on the Team with most points at the end of competition will each earn 20 Swag Bucks.
    • Each completed Task or Trusted Survey earns your team 3 points.
    • Each completed Special Offer or purchase of a Daily Deal earns your team 2 points.
    • The Competition will end on the same day as the conclusion of NBA Finals at the end of that day (Pacific Time).
    • If you are not on the winning team, you will still earn a bonus of 5 Swag Bucks as long as you were an active participant.
    • “Active Participant” is defined by completing any of the 4 activities.
    • “Activities” included in this promotion are Tasks, Trusted Surveys, Daily Deals and Special Offers.
    • If you completed a Survey with-in the Special Offers section it will be counted towards a Special Offer.”

     3. Games
             1.  Swagbucks offers online games in which you can earn more SBs.
Below is the explanation from the site:

    • “There are two ways to be rewarded for playing Games:
    • 1. Play games for free. That’s right: just playing games will randomly earn you Swag Bucks – anywhere from 1 to 5, and you can earn multiple times per day.
    • However, the BIG opportunities to earn will come from:
    • 2. Buying into tournaments. Each game has multiple tournament options where you risk a small amount of Swag Bucks for the chance to earn a large amount.”

Although I haven’t participated in any team competitions or played any of the games, I do get in on a Swag Bucks code now and again.  I often find them when I am visiting another site that has the SB widget on it like the one to the left. If  you have a blog or another site you may want to put one up so you can easily check and see if there is code.  Just click on the Swag Codes tab in the bottom and it will say where you can find one if there is a current code out (this one is just for illustration purposes).  You can get your own in the “promote” tab at Swagbucks.

If you have not yet signed up with Swagbucks, do so today and start earning!
